Based on the cancellation rules from Typepad, I guess I might as well wait until the account naturally expires on March 2007.
Email is one of the most essential tools of the internet, and another feature that I deem essential for blog/email integration is to have the ability for casual readers to send emails. After glancing through the Wordpress plugin list, the WP-Email by Lester Chan appears the most promising for providing this capability. After installation and test-drive the plugin, I believe this plugin has met my objective for having an easy way to send an article to a friend, while having some additional features to be desired. Overall, if you have basic system administration and development skills, you will be able to handle the configuration and the necessary changes.

The installation is straight forward - upload the zip file into wp-content/plugins directory, unzip, and then activate through wordpress admin panel. After activation though, I was unable to find the configuration at the usual place of Options > Email. Instead, WP-Email added its configuration tab at the top level, and call it Email.
